Your information

The short version: we haven't added any tracking to this website, and we use your details only to help with what you contact us about.

This website

We haven't added any cookies, analytics or tracking to this site. The pages, pictures and fonts all come from our website host (Cloudflare) rather than from other companies' servers, so there are no adverts, social media trackers or outside fonts.

Like almost all web hosting, Cloudflare handles some technical information (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site and keep it secure, and some of its security features can set cookies that are strictly necessary for that. If that ever changes, or we turn on anything that needs your consent, we'll update this page.

When you contact us

If you phone, email or message us, we use your contact details to reply and to help with whatever you asked about. Some things, such as a wedding, baptism or funeral, Gift Aid, or a safeguarding concern, mean we have to keep a record, and our full privacy notice explains how. We won't add you to any mailing list without asking.

Church records

Away from the website, the church holds the kinds of records churches do, such as electoral roll, registers of baptisms, weddings and funerals, Gift Aid declarations, and safeguarding records, all handled in line with UK data protection law and Church of England guidance. Our full privacy notice is available from the church office.

Who is responsible

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) of St Peter's Church, Boughton Monchelsea, a registered charity (no. 1136147), is responsible for the information we hold about you, for both St Peter's and Junction. In data protection terms, the PCC is the “data controller”.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you and ask for it to be corrected. You can also ask for it to be deleted, though that right doesn't apply to everything: some records, such as church registers and safeguarding records, have to be kept. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you're unhappy with how we've handled it. For anything about your data, contact the church office on 01622 743321 or stpeters.church@icloud.com.
