Safeguarding

Keeping everyone safe

Everyone has the right to be safe, and safeguarding is at the heart of our life together. We follow the Church of England's safeguarding policy and the guidance of the Diocese of Canterbury.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

For any other safeguarding question, worry, disclosure or allegation, contact our Lead Parish Safeguarding Officer, or the Diocese of Canterbury. You won't be wasting anyone's time.

The Diocese of Canterbury

As a Church of England parish, we come under the Church of England's safeguarding policy and the Diocese of Canterbury's safeguarding team.

If you'd like to contact the diocese directly about a safeguarding issue, their safeguarding page has everything in one place: their team's contact details and the form for making a referral.

Across both congregations

The same safeguarding team and policy cover everything we do: Sunday services at St Peter's, Junction at the village hall, Messy Church and all our groups through the week. Our DBS Checks Officer keeps the parish's DBS checks and safeguarding training records up to date.

You can read more about safeguarding in the Church of England on the Church of England website.
